This is a blood-oxygen saturation reading indicating the percentage of hemoglobin molecules in the arterial blood which are saturated with oxygen. Normal readings in a healthy adult range from 94% to 100%.
How does IT SpO2 product come?
Each single SpO2 reusable probe comes non-sterile packaged in a translucent and stackable blister package, including a user manual. Adapter/Extension cables are also packaged in the same style of blister box.
Whereas, SpO2 disposable probes are packaged in a non-sterile plastic pouch. We offer them in a box of 24 pieces as minimum order unit. All user information related to SpO2 disposables probes are on the backside of the plastic bag.
How do I disinfect reusable SpO2 probes of itg?
There are two different cleaning methods depending on type of SpO2 probe:
Cleaning and Disinfecting of SpO2 application Finger Clip adult (FC), Finger
Clip Pediatric (FP) and Y-probe (Y):
Those sensors should be cleaned and disinfected after each use BEFORE subsequent
use on another patient. To clean or disinfect the sensor:
- Disconnect the sensor from the monitoring device.
- Dampen a clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with a mild, low-level disinfecting
solution such as a 1:10 bleach solution (do not use undiluted bleach because
permanent damage to the sensor may occur). Use it to wipe all exposed surfaces
of the sensor and cable.
- Dampen another clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with sterile or distilled water
and again wipe all exposed surfaces of the sensor and cable.
- Dry the sensor and cable with a clean, dry cloth or gauze pad.
- In case using an universal Y Sensor remove Y foam tape first. Do not use
excessive force when removing the foam tape as this can cause damage to the
sensor.
Caution: Never immerse the sensor in any liquid. Do not sterilize by irradiation,
steam, or ethylene oxide (EtO).
Cleaning and Disinfecting of SpO2 application Finger Silicone Adult (FS)
and Finger Silicone Pediatric (PS):
This sensor should be cleaned and disinfected after each use BEFORE use on
another patient. To clean or disinfect the sensor:
- Disconnect the sensor from the monitoring device.
- Dampen a clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with a mild, low-level disinfecting
solution such as a 1:10 bleach solution (do not use undiluted bleach because
permanent damage to the sensor could occur). Use it to wipe all exposed surfaces
of the sensor and cable.
- Dampen another clean, dry cloth or gauze pad with sterile or distilled water
and again wipe all exposed surfaces of the sensor and cable.

NOTE: Only the rubber boot (green part) can be autoclaved up to 134°C, 7 min.
or EtO sterilized, never autoclave or sterilize cable, FPC layer with optics
and connector. Those parts (all in blue) should be cleaned as described above.

How do I stock SpO2 probes and Adapter/Extension cables?
All SpO2 products of IT should be stored in a dry room under storage temperatures between –20° and +40° Celsius. We recommend to store them in their package, which will well protect them against any dust and dirt.
What is the max. length of SpO2 probes?
In most cases the over-all cable-length of a SpO2-probe plus adapter/extension cable should not exceed 4 meters. If you have any doubt on what maximum length can be used, please contact our Sales Department.

What is the difference between adapter (92/CA) und extension (92/CE) cable?
Adapter and extension cable differ to the connectors, at both ends:
An Adapter cable always has two different connectors at each end.
Whereas an Extension cable do have connector (male) at one end and its mating (female) plug at the other end.
